What is PT-141 Nasal Spray?
PT-141, also known as bremelanotide, is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide derived from Melanotan II through structural modification. How to Use (Research Application)
For experienced laboratory personnel only. This product is supplied as a lyophilised kit and must be reconstituted before use.
- Allow the peptide vial to equilibrate to room temperature. Wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab.
- Using a sterile syringe, inject the supplied Bacteriostatic Water slowly down the inner wall of the vial.
- Gently swirl until the powder is fully dissolved — do not shake, as this can denature the peptide.
- Draw the reconstituted solution into a sterile syringe and transfer it into the empty metered-dose nasal spray bottle.
- Reattach the spray nozzle and prime the pump 2–3 times until an even mist is produced.
- Follow the administration schedule defined in your research protocol. Store at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe defined in your protocol.
