Description
Tesamorelin 10mg Vial — Synthetic GHRH Analogue for Growth Hormone Axis Research
What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino acid peptide analogue of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is structurally identical to endogenous GHRH(1-44) with the addition of a hexenoyl group at the N-terminus, which enhances its resistance to enzymatic degradation and prolongs its biological activity. This modification allows for sustained activation of the GHRH receptor on somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary.
Mechanism of Action
Tesamorelin functions as a GHRH receptor agonist. Upon binding to GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells, it stimulates the synthesis and pulsatile release of growth hormone (GH). The released GH subsequently acts on peripheral tissues to stimulate hepatic insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) production. This GH/IGF-1 axis is central to numerous physiological processes including protein synthesis, cellular proliferation, and metabolic regulation.

What’s Included
Each order includes 1 × 3ml Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) for reconstituting the lyophilised powder. No additional reconstitution solution is required.
Key Research Benefits
- GHRH Analogue: Synthetic GHRH 1-44 for growth hormone axis research.
- Endocrine Signalling: Hypothalamic-pituitary-somatotroph pathway investigations.
- Metabolic Research: GH-IGF-1 axis effects on lipid metabolism and body composition.
- Pulsatile Secretion: GH secretory dynamics and feedback regulation studies.
Reconstitution Guidelines
For experienced laboratory personnel only. This lyophilised powder must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water prior to research use.
- Allow the vial to equilibrate to room temperature (15–25°C) before reconstitution.
- Wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab and allow it to dry.
- Using a sterile syringe, add the required volume of Bacteriostatic Water by injecting slowly down the inner wall of the vial — do not aim the stream directly at the lyophilised cake.
- Gently swirl the vial until the powder is fully dissolved. Do not shake vigorously, as this can denature the peptide.
- Visually inspect the reconstituted solution — it should be clear and free of particulate matter.
- Store reconstituted solutions at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe defined in your research protocol. Discard any unused solution after the recommended period.
